Ezio Martinelli (November 27, 1913–1980) was an American artist who belonged to the New York School Abstract Expressionist artists whose influence and artistic innovation by the 1950s had been recognized around the world. *1931: at the Academy of Fine Arts, Bologna. He returned to the US and 1932-1936 studied at the National Academy of Design, NYC with Leon Kroll & Gifford Beal, drawing with Ivan Olinsky, and sculpture with long-time sculpture teacher, Robert Aiken.
